About Me

I have lived in the beautiful Rogue Valley since 1978, having migrated from the San Francisco Bay Area after originally moving there from Los Angeles.

I’ve worked with Veterans and their families for over 20 years with the Veterans Administration as a therapist and for 4 years as the Director of the Grants Pass Veterans Center until I retired from the VA in 2013. I’ve been in private practice since then, working with a variety of clients and issues as I realized I was not ready to give up working with and helping people grow to reach their full potential.asideweb

I have extensive experience treating individuals with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, sexual and combat trauma and other forms of trauma, domestic violence, depression, grief and loss, anxiety, anger and pain management, relationship issues as well as LGBT issues. I enjoy working with seniors as well as providing clinical supervision to new social workers pursuing their clinical license as well as consultation services to established clinicians.

I have also worked for Providence Hospital as a medical social worker providing discharge planning and as the social worker on the rehab unit team working with stroke and traumatic brain injured patients and their families. I’ve also worked with seniors, the physically disabled and developmentally delayed populations through Senior and Disability Services.

I believe in providing a supportive and safe environment for clients to be able to do the important work they need to do in therapy by fostering a trusting nonjudgemental relationship. To this end, together we develop an individualized treatment plan using Trauma Informed Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution Focused, Psychodynamic, Psycho-educational, Energy Therapy (EFT/Tapping), IFS, Attachment, Systems and Existential Therapy orientations as appropriate to reach our goals.
